Workshops for Spring 2025
Whether you are wanting to improve your art or just have some fun, you’ll enjoy experimenting with some fantastic colours and learning new techniques, whilst surrounded by the Scordale countryside. All materials are provided and a mount is included for you to complete your masterpiece and take home.
NEW! Crocuses
One of my quiet, slow-paced workshops, this relaxing session is great for beginners and those needing some ‘time out’. The petals are simple and enjoyable to do and painting these slowly, whilst listening to gentle music, is a great way to relax.
NEW! Intro to trees
A great workshop for beginners who are starting to explore landscape painting. We’ll look at the structure of trees and how we can easily capture realistic trees in simple ways.
DRY-STONE WALLS
Learn a great technique for creating realistic dry-stone walls, using a plastic card. It’s fun and easy to do!
This workshop is perfect for those that already dabble in watercolour and wish to learn some different techniques.
SNOWDROPS
Learn to paint some delicate, small snowdrops, but in a big way! Have fun running the watercolour down the paper and using a plastic card to create leaves and stems. Explore the use of masking fluid and its handy qualities!
Credit Card Hills
Forget brushes! Move and sculpt watercolour on paper using a credit card in this workshop. Its a fantastic way of creating new textures and marks and is great fun to do! We use deep, earthy, winter colours to create the wintery image of Murton Pike (which is handily right outside the studio windows!).
Poppies
Learn to paint vibrant watercolour poppies in this informal, fun and relaxed workshop. A great workshop for complete beginners – enjoy experimenting with some fantastic, intense colours and learn new techniques to create your own poppy painting in a simple, enjoyable way.
